Owning an original oil painting by Eric de Boer may not always be possible. In some cases, the original work may already have been sold to someone else. In others, some collectors, who appreciate the aesthetic and artistic value of an original work, may be unable to afford it until it is no longer available. To make these works accessible to such admirers of Eric’s works as well as other art enthusiasts, Eric regularly reproduces some of his most sought after paintings as museum quality giclée prints. A giclée is a high resolution digitized art image printed on a special printer on high quality cotton canvas.

A giclée print is the closest duplication of an original artwork that is humanly, mechanically, or technically possible. Today's fine art print collectors, as well as galleries and museums, recognize giclée prints by their exquisite color and fine detail. Eric de Boer’s original works are printed as limited edition giclées onto high quality acid-free cotton canvas using a 12-color printing system. The pigmented inks, especially formulated for fine art printing, offer a wide color gamut and high UV resistance. They are inherently archival, withstanding the destructive effects of light and humidity for more than 70 years. Eric personally stretches each giclée reproduction onto stretcher bars and varnishes it to protect it from the elements. Each Eric de Boer Giclée comes in a frame similar to the original and has its own numbered Certificate of Authenticity, personally signed by the artist. Giclées should not hang in direct sunlight nor in damp environments. Following these simple precautions will assure that a giclée print will retain its brilliance for decades.
